Hmmm....

There's no bass. That is the main problem. ;) but not the reason I take off points.
Look man, I appreciate good music and the riffs and the drums are great, by themselves.

However, there are two things with this, partially I know you can't help, the Rhythm Guitars have way too much highend and sound like buzzsaws... Not a big fan, they need more low end to work without a bass, or at the very least need to be turned up. DARN NOT THE POINT THOUGH!

There is far too much in the way of reverb on the growls, seriously way to much, I mean it doesn't really blend that well with the music at all. I liked the guitar solos. They really stood out as being super good. Just little things like that.

Other than that, really really awesome. Also, I think that starting with a guitar solo like that was interesting, but... nah it's good don't worry about it.

TwilightNecrosis responds:

I appreciate the review, Cyril.
I've listened to enough of your shit to know that you know what you're talking about.
And the point about the bass is definitely a good one.
If I knew how to play the song, I probably would have added a bass as well.
Ditto with the guitars, if I could have gotten just the drum track from Dan, I would have rerecorded the whole thing, but I had to work with the mp3, which is not the most desirable thing.
And if you listen to the original, you may agree that the bass drum was way too loud/deep, and it drove me crazy, so I tried to take out a bit of the low end on the original track, and I turned the dial too far. Woops. "/
I think that if the original track was a bit clearer, the vocals would mesh better as well, but listening to it like it is I totally agree, the delay is a bit too much.
All points noted, and I will definitely fiddle with it a bit next time I hit my dad's studio.
Again, thanks for the review.
Metal forever!

HOLY SHIT DUDES!

I just fucking creamed my pants harder than I have ever creamed them before. Seriously, there is a pool of eargasm fluid on the floor.

FUCK! This is amazing. I am gasping hard. Its like... orchestral guitar. No an ORCHESTRA of guitars. There are no improvements I can make to this. none. Go, enjoy your amazing, because that is all you need to be fuckin' awesome. Holy shit!

ProjectGodMode responds:

ROFL Cyrill you're awesome.

Wait... lol someone still managed to vote a low score on it? Whatever this track will prevail through the hordes of talentless haters.

Hmm...

Alright... I will categorically state why I think that this still needs work...

For one the pads sound like a cheesy 80's synth, unless that's what you were going four. The drums... don't sound realistic at all, and even if they did they lack punch and don't really make the song any better, mostly because the crash symbol is too splashy.

The intro is too long for a pop song. 22 seconds for a 2:19 work isn't gonna cut it in the pop realm. I think this is really more ambient than anything else, becuase it doesn't have Trance drums and it doesn't have vocals meaning it can't truly be considered pop (because how many pop songs lack vocals?0

Good effort, but you gotta get some better drums, becuase they sort of ruin it. And write some corny lyrics and wrangle a vocalist. :D

I like the ideas though.

VegetarianMeat responds:

Yup, this is a rather crummy song, and I agree with you on all of your points :P I always tend to overdo it with my intros. Thanks for the review :)

I came.

First of all, it rocked even with my sub woofer off. Let me just say that. The mixing is flawless and since my sub was off I didn't care that I didn't hear bass. Now, let me turn my sub on to be blown away.

Sure enough, With my sub-woofer activated, I began to love it even more. Sure, the bass is sort of down in the mix, but I can hear it and I know it's there. Regardless of that I reallyl realy relaly enjoyed this remix, because of the story you set behind it. Great job, and I hope that you continue to improve.

DarKsidE555 responds:

LoL, nice. Glad you liked the story as well. It was just something I came up with when I re-wrote the tune. I know, not very original for that fight but those are the scenes I imagen when I adapt the tune to the fight. Anyways, glad you liked it man and thanks for da review! ;D

Nice!

This is groovy dude. Short, but I like the simple piano melody with just a bass accompaniment. Who said Jazz had to be complex all the time? XD

Claxor responds:

You said it :)
I might make a longer version once my right hand is healed (I have to play everything with one hand atm :( )

:D Feeling the trance!

I liked it! But one thing buddy you should increase the kicks power. It's trance right? Give the kick some more punch. Other than that I really really liked it.

On second though... yeah just a bit up would be cool, other than that its smooth and I felt I was "Riding the wind"

x-Exodus-X responds:

Alright, I agree, the kick was kind of dull. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the review!

And you thought mine was good!

HOLY SHIT DUDE! I can't believe that you thought mine was metal, this is entirely more metal than mine.

That said, I loved this a lot. The vocals were really good, and the guitars were even better! This has a live drums too? Wow...
I'll give you benefit of the doubt and say that you played guitar on this.

XxCowMeatxX responds:

Perfect! lol

anyways no i actually didnt play on this recording. it was my good friend andre who does guitar for vilify. I do bass for this band. well thanks alot for the kick ass review man! stay brual \m/

Not bad!

GUITAR and VOCALS! RAUNCHIER!

Lol. seriously though, the guitar wasn't nearly as hardcore as it needed to be to be properly punk. It was far too tame. And somehow the vocals didn't fit... I dunno. I liked ti but... .

Reverb, and volumes.

AndieCiambotti responds:

I loved the guitar and the vocals were awesome, totally awesome

Dude, you is better at bass than me!

Love this! Dude, this mixing is much better. I love the groove and the playing. Now I need to record a bass solo and show you the hell up or somethin'. Good god.

KiteRunner responds:

Told you i was bad ass lol

Swanky!

Stanky as hell dude! Love it, slap groove that makes me wanna dance... the only things is the bass drowns out the drums.

KiteRunner responds:

i'll make sure to fix that then. thx
